My bank credited a dollar cheque to my account in sterling leaving them about £100 out of pocket. I called the bank to tell them. It was with great pleasure I said the following.

"Looking at the state of RBS Group (Royal Bank of Scotland) finances you need a hundred quid more than I do"

I'm about to feel a small bit of your pain, with a new international client who seems determined to pay me in something other than US Dollars. I'm happy to accept their payment, but I'm still figuring out how to get my credit union to take the funds when they arrive.

I recently did a job for a client in Cardiff and was paid in pounds. I'm chuffed. They're worth more than dollars. Money Mouth

Irish radio paid me by cheque some years back -- in Irish pounds.
I still have the check.
