I blogged about this today but I wanted to post the info directly here as it could be very useful to you.
John Sayers (studio design guru) has posted SketchUp plans on his site for a vocal booth designed to fit in the corner of a room.
John's site: http://www.johnlsayers.com
The post with the sketchup plans: http://johnlsayers.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=14147
I've said it before but I'll say it again. www.johnlsayers.com should be on your "go to" list for all things about studio design and construction. There's a ton of great info there along with experts that are willing to help you along. _________________ Hart Voice Overs Blog

John has some great information, and I love his use of slot resonators on his bass traps. But for the do-it-yourselfer and even the local contractor, this is usually beyond their scope. One needs to employ skills, techniques or do things that just do not seem to make sense. Also attention to detail is paramount. _________________ The Blog:

Acoustics are counter-intuitive. If one thing is certain about acoustics, it is that if anything seems obvious it is probably wrong. |
