I've been happily motoring along with PT 7.0 for quite awhile now but am considering upograding to 8.0.
My concern is increased load on the CPU. My current studio PC is based on an older Athlon 64+ 1.8 ghz processor with 2gig of ram.
I'd love to have the additional bells whistles and so on in 8.0...but I can't afford a performance hit.
Any thoughts? _________________ Wicked huge.....in India.

I've been running ProTools 8.0 all day on a Centrino 1.4ghz with 1 gig of RAM all day with no problem...
I'm enjoying the 16 bit resolution on the wave form graphic as opposed to the 8 bit on version 7 and below... |
