I quite like the variety of work I get asked to do but there is one sound I like and never tire of producing. This morning another producer popped up and asked me ....."can you?" With pleasure me old matey, I love doing it.

Here's my contribution.

Now own up and post it. It doesn't matter if no one else likes it, post your favourite.

I love reading poetry, well, the poetry of Ben Kross, anyway.

Don't get to do this kind of thing enough:

Thanks Mary - Isn't his poetry wonderful? He has some marvellous guitar pieces on his site as well.

I suppose that's part of why I love this job so much. I get to do something I think is special just about everyday. Today I produced this promo that everyone around here (me included loves). But I'm fickle. I'll hear it on the air next week and find something I could have done better, then I'll hate it.

The Todd Is Out There

Kat, that is fantastic. Gave me a shiver down my back.

One of my favorite styles: http://www.dannachtrab.com/Capilmax_Woody60.mp3

If that isn't as poetic as Kat's read, I give up. Laugh

Wassup Phillip?....do you just have a file full of close-up pics of you and your mic....and then you just rotate through them for avatars?

I'm saving the one of me with a Santa beard and the mic covered in tinsel for Christmas.

At present I have a file called "me and the mic" containing over 9,000 images. The Tate Modern (an art gallery) offered me £12,500,000 for them but I felt my integrity as an artist would've been compromised.

The work you are seeing now is entitled "Intensity with intimacy". It's tells the story of of a Polish born ocarina salesman from Gdansk who has lost his family to western oppression. I believe it captures the heartbreak or Sergei's story. If you look in the eyes you can almost see the collapsing ship building industry reflected in them.

PB,

Hmmmm, you see...I saw more of the Sergei who was lost among the clatch of gnarled workers in one of the SOLIDARNOSC protests, and ended up as the abused servant-boy of a Ukranian tailor....forever destined for a life on pins and needles... in that sense, the pic would be titled: "Prominent Sew 'n' Sew with Giant Thimble"
