Yep, CORD, as in two elastic bands of muscle that form a 'V' inside the larynx. Whereas 'CHORD' is a group of usually three or more musical notes sounded simultaneously.

Just....thank God it wasn't Rita Braver....her voice gets hoarser by the week, and it was never that good...nor was her writing in my assessment.
