I really love my TC Electronic MOne.
I don't have the XL version I brought the MOne used.
I use to have the TC Electronic M350 which is nice too but the MOne has that edge and there is more options and tweaks.
I did have the Lexicon MX200 but realised that the MX200 is Lexicons entry level effects unit.
Whats your favs?

The LA Audio 4X4 compressor. Not because it has a particularly great sound. I just love the design. Each section-GATE-FILTER-COMPRESSOR
has all its own in and out jacks AS WELL as switches for each function and its sub-functions (side chain, key etc)
This means it can stay in the rack with each function having its own part of the patchbay, but ready to use any signal path I need. I really cannot explain how much I love this! _________________ Mandarin Chinese Voiceovers & Localization

I'll go low budget here. The dbx 286a does a good job at the price. It's been said here that to get better, you have to pay waaaay more. On the strength of that I bought one and have been very happy with it. I don't use any of the "enhancers", but as a gate/compressor it lets you get a good level of transparency when used gently, but can be in-your-face when you want it to be. _________________ Bish a.k.a.
