VO-BB - 20 YEARS OLD!

Take 185 people from 12 countries. Give them sheet music, video of a conductor, and ask them to record individual choral parts on their own time and post the clips to YouTube. After the pieces come in over a period of six months, mix it all together and throw in a dash of After Effects for visual splash, and you have one of the most beautiful collaborative pieces I've ever seen.

Then I did a little link to link jumping through YouTube and found this gem with astrophysicist and brilliant guy Carl Sagan singing about the Universe....all thanks to Auto-Tune. Most clever:

Eric Whitacre is my favorite modern composer. His stuff is so original and interesting! A couple of his virtual choir members recorded the entire piece, all parts, themselves. Very cool.

The soprano solist tackles the whol shebang!

Thanks - I am singing in a small church choir for the first time tomorrow (high school girl's chorus was the last time!) with that ringing in my ears. Let it be inspiration.
