They seem to still like reverb over there. This is also an interesting video on a train design that allows people to get on and off a moving train.

A new Chinese train innovation - How to get on & off the bullet train without stopping. No time is wasted.
There are 30 stations between Beijing and Guangzhou, so just stopping and accelerating again at each station will waste both energy and time.
A mere 5 min stop per station results in a total loss of 2.5 hours of train journey time!
The Chinese came up with a nonstop train concept. You read it right, the train does not stop at stations!! The passengers at the station embark onto a connector cabin before the train arrives at the station. When the train arrives, it just slows down to pick up the connector cabin which attaches onto the roof of the train.
While the train is traveling away from the station, those passengers board the train from the connector cabin. After unloading the passengers, the connector cabin moves to the back of the train and the outgoing passengers board it. When the train arrives at the next station, it drops the connector cabin.
The outgoing passengers take their time disembarking at the station while the train had already left. At the same time, the train will pick up the incoming passengers on another connector cabin in the front part of the train's roof.
At each station the train always drops one connector cabin at the rear of its roof and picks up a new connector cabin at the front of its roof. |

Did they want it to sound like she was announcing the narration in the station? (Cool train concept!) _________________ the Amy Snively family of brands for all your branded thing needs.

Justin,
I agree. Genius. And Amy, that's what it sounds like to me ... like she's the "track announcer" in the station. (Do they have a "Cucamunga" [sp] in China?) _________________ Be well,

Or a Slausen Cut Off for that matter.
It's a great solution to that problem for sure...I got the same feeling about the station announcer.
Cool stuff Bruce |

Seems like a great idea -- provided no more than one car's worth of people need to get on or off the train at any given stop.
And it could get a bit expensive raising the roof height of every tunnel along the route.
And I'm sure every passenger will be thrilled to have to climb down a flight of stairs and walk all the way from the front of the train to the rear and then climb back up the stairs (or wait for the elevator) every time they take a ride.
Nevertheless, it is brilliant. In fact, the airline industry is working on its own version, which will be called the "DB Cooper System."
