I had this recently happen to me and I didn't know what to do. Maybe some of you have experienced the same thing.
I quoted a new client a price based on number of total scripts. He has only delivered 20% of the total number promised? What is the correct way to tell him to pony up? |

need more info. How long has it been? Is he overdue with payment? What did your agreement specify about payment terms? _________________ Jeff

It has nothing to do with payment. I quoted him a lower price per script based on him providing me 20 scripts. He has only sent 4 scripts and has paid me right away but am I just suppose to wait on the other 16 scripts? |

I would contact him and just ask him if he sent them. I would tell him that I wanted to make sure they didn't get lost in cyberspace. _________________ John Weeks Voice Overs

Also, when someone asks for a 'bulk discount" in the future, consider saying that you'd be willing to come down to X for projects larger than Y when all the copy is delivered at once. _________________ the Amy Snively family of brands for all your branded thing needs.

Lots of great comments. I think I will give him a call and ask about the other scripts. And next time will ask for them all up front. |

While this doesn't help you right now, it may be helpful in the future.
When quoting on bulk projects, I always provide a timeline within which the scripts must be provided in order to be eligible to receive the discounted price. This clearly lays out to the client what my expectations are for project completion; otherwise it leaves the door open for projects to drag on for months!
Clear communication from the outset is key to happy clients!
Good Luck. _________________ Brian Forrester Voice Overs
