Yep, I'm old.
This morning for breakfast at our radio group we had boiled Maine lobster, melted butter, baked potato, corn on the cob, cole slaw and rolls, all delivered by a Hollywood Slots showgirl wearing the traditional bikini outfit--feathered plume and all. I couldn't wait for her to leave so we could enjoy an incredible breakfast. Can you say geezer? Now where's my Geritol? |

Moe,
I'm ashamed to say that lobster for many of us in our neck of the woods is as common as burgers and hotdogs. Some years it gets a bit tiring. |

Nelson, I'm right down the street from you- in NH. And there is no such thing as too much lobster. _________________ Moe Egan

Pas moi, my friends. I don't like food that squeaks as you chew it, so count me out with lobster.
And liver, actually. _________________ DBCooperVO.com

A real geezer would have offered her a sweater.
A really old geezer would have said,"I think I'm suppose to like this, but I can't remember why."
And liver?... love it... smothered with onions.

In that case, you can't eat anything while walking along Ogunquit Beach. _________________ Lee Gordon, O.A.V.

Lobster was originally considered gauche plebeian fare in New England until it became a tourist treat and thus a restaurant staple. I love seafood, but don't care for Lobster. Showgirls are another matter. _________________ Skype: globalvoiceover

Yes, interesting history on lobster- no one but the fisherman ate it. It used to be considered peasant food. Lucky darned peasants if you ask me. _________________ Moe Egan

Oysters, too. They were so plentiful back in the Pilgrim days they were nothing special.
I am still amazed that anybody ever took a look at a lobster and said, "We can eat that. But first, we'd better toss it, live, into a pot of boiling water." _________________ Lee Gordon, O.A.V.
