Can anyone who is happy with their phone patch set up let me know what they are using.
I am not happy with the unreliable quality of my SKYPE "phone patch" solution. I tried a JK Audio hybrid phone patch and the sound quality so poor it was usless.
I read that a digital hybrid with noise canceling features worked well so I am looking in that area, but I don't want to in more gear I cant use.
I appreciate any help.

Robert,
Keep an eye on ebay. I purchased a gently used Gentner SPH-3A at a great price, and am very pleased with it.
Just my 2 cents! _________________ Chris Ratliff VO's

Did you try setting the "null" setting on the JK Auto Hybrid? I've used mine for years now with many clients and many conference calls, no problems. Having the right settings with your mixer that interfaces with the Hybrid can be the culprit instead of just the JK. _________________ Skype: globalvoiceover

The null setting will help with any delay issues. Sometimes trying to have the AUX out on a mixer too hot will actually make things quieter, and a nice medium level is preferable. It's tough to get a nice level with the client, your own audio and play back, etc. but once you find something that works, you're set. Good luck. _________________ Skype: globalvoiceover

Before you drop a huge sum of $$, explain to me how exactly your existing hardware is configured and what it is that sounds so bad. Is it that when it is in use you hear a distorted version of your own voice? Are clients complaining? Is it getting recorded when it shouldn't be? _________________ If it sounds good, it is good.

Hi George,
The Auto hybrid was plugged into 3-4 XLR socket of the Onix 820 i. I am not the person who hooked it up so that's all I can tell you about that.
The problem was a buzz that made it very difficult to hear the person on the other end or them hear us. I have no other issues with grounding problems, or anything like that.
It was only tested, I never used it with a client. It was suggested that a digital hybrid may have better results.
My understanding of these things is limited so appreciate you folks taking the time to write to me about it.
