What am I doing wrong with this site:

I've got straight-ahead, generic "controllers" called for the mp3s and they don't show up on iPhones and others.

Unless I'm mistaken, you'll need to provide direct links to the MP3 files themselves for them to work on an iPhone. I don't think that any form of embedding will work there. iPhones play MP3 files that are sent to the browser as unadorned MP3 files, not as embedded elements in other pages. Again, I could be mistaken, but that's my experience so far.
