I'm in the BookPals program here, reading to a couple of classes of 3rd graders when school's in session. It's a very satisfying thing to do. The national organization (sponsored by SAG) is having a fund raiser to buy more books for the kids and readers, and they're auctioning off books written and autographed by notable actors, sports figures, and other celebrities. If you're interested in such things, you're invited to look at and bid on their offerings. The auction ends August 17:
