Roger,
I'd read about it before, but had never seen that compilation. Thank you for the links. _________________ Be well,

That's interesting. It reminds me of a sound effect I picked up somewhere along my travels, of a car horn and the doppler tone that happens as it drives by. (Listen) I've heard that same clip used time and time again on movies over the years. _________________ Joe Szymanski

I thought some of the best campy screams came from Jonathan Harris in his role of Dr. Smith on 'Lost In Space.'
They were so... Irwin Allen. _________________ Mike

The Wilhelm Scream is in the rotating list of SFX in Red Dead Redemption. You could make its appearance a drinking game. _________________ DBCooperVO.com

Heck I've used it myself in a commercial or two. I think it was a waxing salon, or some such.

I loves me some Wilhelm. Heard it tonight while watching "Ramona and Beezus" with my daughter. ("R&B", BTW, is a very delightful film) _________________ Justin S. Barrett

I knew we should have gone to see "Ramona and Beezus" instead of "Charlie St. Cloud".

My kids have been making videos for various school projects for a while, and they try to put the Wilhelm Scream into every one. |

there must be a female scream around as well that was used in horror films. _________________ http://MichaelSchoen.com |

Ah, now it makes a little more sense why all the scream sound efx in Soundtrack Pro (Final Cut's audio program) are called (insert name) and then 'helm'. Such as Tomhelm Scream.....Suehelm Yell.
That is funny! _________________ Ben
