Hey VO-BBers,

I've narrowed down my Mic selections and I think the Yeti may be it. I've heard and reviewed very good things (despite it's larger than life footprint).

Does anyone have any experiences with this mic personally or know someone who has? I know Blue does nice microphones, this fits within my budget as a beginner, and having come recommended through independent sources, it seems solid. So I'm hoping someone on this forum can help confirm before I pull the trigger as a gift to myself.

Thanks! Any feedback welcome.

Nikki

Can't beat a hundred bucks.

This would only be for practicing and working out. I would not recommend using this mic for auditions. Though others may disagree.

It works surprisingly well, better than any other $100 USB mic I've heard, and it has built in headphone monitoring...
Audition quality? Sure, people record auditions on iPhones these days.
You gotta start someplace.

Awesome. Thanks for the feedback from you both.

I thought it would be fine for auditioning (or I was hoping it would be) so that it was both affordable and utilitarian for my needs starting out. I want to calculating with my purchases while I practice and save up for the demo.

I have Yeti. I like it and it likes me. It's a good solid multi dimensional USB mic that plays well with lots of software with zero latency issue at all. I'm blown away by the sound and quality for the price.

Great! I think that I'm ready to seal the deal on this Yeti.

Thanks a lot for the info.
