ok - just got a great deal on a powermac quad-core g5 it was loaded up and the price was right --- so i bought it. what am i going to do with it? install an older version of final cut pro and edit video, mostly.
my question is this: is there anything special i need in a KVM switch to use my PC on one side and the mac on the other? i can't think of anything - but that's why you people are here! _________________ "i know philip banks": todd ellis

I used a Compaq and an iBook on a Belkin KVM switch for years with no problems. You can use your fave KB and mouse regardless of manufacturer on both machines. We also loaded Open Source software like Open Office, VLC, and the like to both machines for additional compatibility. |

I use this IOGEAR KVM switch with my MacBook Pro and Windows systems. To be accurate, tho, it's really only a KM switch in my case. For various reasons, I opted not to use the video switch. I like it because the switch is keyboard-driven. Just double-tap a specific key to flip-flop. _________________ Justin S. Barrett
