I am so pleased to have gotten all the "golden nuggets" of information I received from Faffcon. I was also tickled to get this compliment for the Voice Acting sessions that Randy Kaye and I led. It speaks so directly to the value of the whole Faffcon experience:
"I want to thank you so much for the acting behind the mic workshop! I was able to put some of the killer direction into action today with a regular client, and he asked me to attend Unconferences every weekend!"
We done good kids.

Bruce--I intended to send you a PM, but now I'll just compliment you publicly. I went to both days of your sessions with Randye and let me tell you-- I have paid much more and gotten much less out of acting workshops! What a joy to watch my peers at work.
And I had a blast performing the comedy spot with Karen Lehman. Thanks for your generosity. Your sessions were a highlight for me.

I'm just sick that I missed them. Both times I was working in my room.
Do it again next time, won't you Bruce? _________________ the Amy Snively family of brands for all your branded thing needs.

I wish I could have been there, too. Fortunately, I did get to spend part of the weekend with some nice friends.

i think it's cool that the microphones are set up in a partially-collapsed above-ground pool. _________________ "i know philip banks": todd ellis

Nuggets I received:
* warm acceptance from my fellow Faffers; that was most heartening;
* a ton of really good tips about SEO!
* Bruce's workshop on acting -- that was a home run all the way!
* a great lobby conversation with Gene Cordes -- a font of information and experience!
* encouragement
As for that pic of the mics in the pool, I wonder what the noise floor was? _________________ Charter Member: Threadjackers Local 420 |

Lee, FaffCon East looks like it was also nugget-laden. And Bruce, you and Randye were handing out excellent nuggets on voice acting. When you mine for gold, you just may find some! _________________ Bobbin Beam

His name is Brett Vanderbrook. We had all just met him and it seemed rude not to invite him to be in the picture.

And entirely by coincidence, there was an inflatable blue dolphin (a/k/a "East Coast Faffy") hanging on the edge of the pool. After the fact, the procession of musicians who graced that stage all afternoon decided, via Facebook, to dub themselves the "Talent Pool."

Roy had drained the pool a day or two earlier and since it was a nice, flat, level surface in the right location in the yard, it was the best place to use as a "stage." That left the choices, dismantle the pool entirely or remove a couple of sections and leave the rest standing. Roy opted for choice #2. _________________ Lee Gordon, O.A.V.
