If you're a novice setting up a studio and don't have much cash, check out this Woot Deal today.

I have one of those ProTools Vocal Studio packages....its not a bad deal for $60...the usb mic isn't the greatest, but it's certainly serviceable for auditions and some gigs...the software that it comes with is a very watered down version of ProTools... anything more than just rudimentary recording, processing and editing, and you will find yourself wanting the full version of PTools M-powered, which will work with this mic...

What I like about the mic is 1) it seems to be built very solid 2) not afraid to take it on the road in case it gets lost or damaged (only $60) 3) it has a built in headphone jack for direct monitoring...very useful 4) plug and play 6) you can use with mic with any recording software....I've used it successfully with Audtion, Audacity, Sound Forge, GarageBand and Logic.
