Sadly I'm sure that's the way we'll end up. Very funny!

Ha. Perfect.

Reminds me of a conversation my daughter overheard at school the other day "Is she a real friend or a Facebook friend"

How funny and how sad. I am sure that we will soon be treating people for
Social Media Addiction...their lives and finances ruined by spending an increasing number of hours with their faces buried in their SM devices....learning all kinds of things, but very little of it useful.

Even before the 'social media,' I think it was the permissive intervention of digital distraction devices that was and is a large contributor to why many adults, college and high school students don't know the difference between your and you're, or their, there and they're, why they spell probably as prolly, and why expecting to have, like, meaningful and engaging conversation with some folks today is, like, my bad.

I remember having Social Media in 1958. Saturday morning a bunch of us kids would migrate up the street and watch cartoons on another kid's 19" TV.

To discern what is or is not a time suck is the key to the kingdom.

Ain't that the truth Bobbin. The only problem is, that discernment comes about 20 minutes after that first click, then I figure "In for a penny, in for a pound" - then almost against my will I'm down another virtual rabbit trail....I rationalize it saying "I don't have co-workers, so think of how much time I"m not wasting in a given day with water cooler conversation"....as long as deadlines are met and invoices eventually go out I'm okay with a certain amount of time sucking...

Hilarious. I suppose the only proper response to this one is to post it to my facebook page or tweet it.
