If anyone here is on Windows XP, can you copy your Explorer.exe file and upload it somewhere for me to download? Mine is corrupted and I've had to get around all day via either a command prompt or using task manager to launch my programs.
In case you don't know, Explorer.exe is not the browser, but rather the program that let's you navigate your desktop PC. Without it, you can't see your taskbar or desktop icons, etc. It should be in your "C:\WINDOWS" folder.

Got it. Worked like a charm! Thanks, Elaine!
Now to reinstall/repair Windows... just in case.

From now on, every time I turn on my computer, it will have a piece of yours. Thank your computer for the donation. One day our PC's will meet and embrace. There will be tears... and Oprah.

Let's not forget the now gone but ever popular Readers Digest spin.
"I'm Joe's Explorer.exe"
What? I never said it was going to be funny. |
