Let's relax and forget the Ted's of the world, and get back to our roots.

Over at the Cartoon Brew, Jerry Beck has posted a rare bit of audio featuring Butler and Messick in “Blooper’s Soap Revisited.”

Acoustics are counter-intuitive. If one thing is certain about acoustics, it is that if anything seems obvious it is probably wrong.

It's seriously worth a listen, though. Very, very funny.

I've always been a huge fan of Stan Freberg's audio comedy, and Daws Butler was a big, big part of that work. I got to see Daws and June Foray spend an hour on stage at the AFI in LA talk about the business. Hearing dozens of those characters I grew up with while they sat right in front of me was heaven.
