At the risk of showing green...
After reading Bailey's post, I am asking myself, "What OTHER way would there be to read it?" Maybe "Tex-uhs" where the "uh" = the schwa character that I don't know how to type on a normal keyboard?

"Texas" definitely needs the schwa sound on the 2nd syllable. I managed to insert the merest of stops between the words without killing the flow.
That's going in my warmup file, though. _________________ Great Voice. Great Choice. For Voice Talking and stuff.

Well, I'm guessin' that you don't want to pronounce it like I've heard up here in Colorado: Tex-A$$.
(ducking and running, but hey, I have relatives in Texas and they think it's funny...) _________________ Charter Member: Threadjackers Local 420 |
