my MOTU Ultralite, which has the MIDI connection I need, is firewire, which apparently is not working.
So I'm considering a good interface that is USB with MIDI capability. Any suggestions?

Can you use Boot Camp and dual-boot to a Windows install for updating your devices? _________________ Corey "Vox Man" Snow

YOu can install Windows 7, 32 bit with BootCamp, and do your update that way. Which by the way the best way to do it.
But you need to repartition your HD.
Unless there is some major improvement to the plug in, then I would just forgo the up date. I mean, it's work well for you up till now hasn't it?? _________________ The Blog:

Acoustics are counter-intuitive. If one thing is certain about acoustics, it is that if anything seems obvious it is probably wrong. |

Another option might be to borrow a laptop or netbook from someone to do the firmware update with. _________________ Corey "Vox Man" Snow
