It's been my privilege through the years to work with some pretty nifty people now and then. Among the niftiest is George Beverly Shea who turned 102 on the first of February this year. He has been singing with Billy Graham since the 1940s and recently was honored with a special Grammy Award for lifetime achievement. A YouTube video of his acceptance speech is here. What I find most amazing is to hear him sing so well at his age. I hope when I'm 80 I'll still be able to sing at all. _________________ Be well,

Inspiring. If you gotta stick around that long, it's good to have your mind and your voice with you.
God bless him, well I think he has.
Thanks for sharing Bob. |

Likewise, we should not forget the Lifetime Grammy awarded to Julie Andrews, who has also delighted us for decades. And who, unfortunately due to a throat surgery gone wrong, no longer has the vocal abilities she once had. _________________ Mike
