indeed it is... check out the "New Cars" link in that post to see the others. Didn't know Prarie Prince was with them, too.
then again, it's been ages since I've had to do show prep. _________________ Greg Littlefield

Todd Rundgren is one of my favorites. I was listening to "Something/Anything?" just yesterday! It's fantastic you got to hear him/them. |

Here's another big ups for Todd Rundgren. As a young 'un I did indeed learn what onomatopeia is! (had to look up the spelling for THAT one--just a letter off). Was DeWitt taking the pics?, cuz I see none of him (tho I've discerned he's a fabulous painter...) _________________ sitting at #8, though not as present as I'd like to be. Hello!

I was never a huge fan, but back in my rock jock days I got free tickets to see Rundgren in '79. Hell of a show! And "I Saw the Light" and "Real Man" are two killer tracks that the so-called classic rock stations manage to overlook. _________________ John Bailey Voiceovers |

I had Todd's Greatest Hits CD in the player last week.
Thanks for sharing the pics. _________________ Mary |

Anthony-- It's Todd Rundgren.
A singer/songwriter who was first big in the 70's and has been very prolific.
A bit of information HERE.
He's with Elliot Easton and Greg Hawkes (from the original Cars band) along with Kasim Sulton and Prairie Prince as The New Cars. _________________ DBCooperVO.com |

hehehe... you whippersnapper, you...
I would imagine his best-known hits are "Hello, It's Me" and "I Saw the Light" from 1972's "Something... Anything?" album. The other would be "Bang the Drum All Day" from 1983, but one album of his I love is A Capella because he voices all the instruments and sings all the harmonies himself. Great stuff, imo. He's done a LOT of producing over the decades as well.
Up until the early nineties, he was also known as Liv Tyler's dad.

The other night, my wife me showed the a clip from the Colbert Report where Ric Ocasek puts Todd on the Notice Board. Now it makes sense. _________________ Greg Littlefield

Umm...that'd be Steven Tyler of Aerosmith.
EDIT: Urff...I forgot that Todd was Liv's "dad" early on. No longer being in radio, I tend not to think like a music writer anymore. Don't mind me, senile old man rambling... _________________ Great Voice. Great Choice. For Voice Talking and stuff.
