I've just read about the Wheel of Fortune auditioning announcers. One woman has been given the chance, Lora Cain, and I sincerely hope she gets it. I don't know Lora but my view is that she's certainly good enough (so should be cast on merit) and giving the contract to a female announcer will be good for a part of the business in which the average FVO has to run twice as fast as me to get half as far ...THAT'S JUST WRONG! |

On the plus side, the market isn't as saturated as it is for males. Really good females stand out from the pack. _________________ Joe Szymanski

I have to admit that Lora was my fav, I liked the difference a female voice made in the tone of the show...that's until Joe Cip showed up. He just sounds "right" in the role.
Everyone else so far has missed the mark in one small way or another. _________________ Wicked huge.....in India.
