I've gotten involved with a project producing a series of pod casts that involve five minute interviews of experts.
I am the host/interviewer and editor.
The experts are from all over the country and need to record their answers close to home and then forward the files to me
for editing into a program along with my questions.
Therefore, I'm asking for recommendations for studios near (20 - 30 miles) the following locations that would be suitable for
about an hours worth of voice recording from layman talent.
A site that is friendly and, of course, reasonably priced.
Also before listing the locations, please check me out in my process for doing this.
To hopefully achieve the sense that we're in the same environment I would prefer that everyone, including myself, record
on the same model mic (e.g., a U-87) or a not too far removed cousin and each venue record and send to me some "room tone" to help even things out.
Without further delay, here are the locations:
Atlanta, GA.
Richmond, VA.
Omaha, NE.
Glover, VT.
Iowa City, Iowa
Liberty, Maine
Richmond, CA.
Madison,WI.
Use any means to communicate; a post, pm or email.
Thanks in advance for your responses, you guys are the best.

BTW, my contact cringed when I used the term "home studio" for what that's worth.

For Atlanta:

- Doppler Studios
- Creative Sound Concepts IF they're still around

Scott,
Thanks, buddy. I've actually been to Doppler for a workshop and had forgotten.
Much appreciated.
