Hey all,

just wanted to share with you that today I landed a national tv ad on V123. It's the tag line for a double glazing commercial! £200 session fee and £500 usage. I say this not to brag, but to let you know that it IS possible to land good quality, well paid work and great clients from v123 and P2P sites. This is my preferred site as the numbers you compete against (in the case of this job, 50) are relatively low compared to Bodalgo and voices.com.

I record tomorrow in a studio in London, I'm thrilled! Laugh

Great news, Darren!

(However, it shouldn't be viewed as proof of the viability of the P2Ps. Because right now there are 49 people for whom V123 didn't work.)

I suppose that means that agents aren't viable either, since many jobs get sent to multiple agents and result in far more than 49 auditioners not landing a particular job. Just sayin'...

Chris, I thought the same. It's just easier to quantify on the P2P sites.

Not exactly a fair comparison, but for most cattle-call "agents", yeah, exactly.

Delighted to hear Darren's news, it's all money!

On the "isn't - insert name here - WONDERFUL!" No it isn', no they aren't, no nothing IS. The market is saturated with bad and mediocre voices, somewhere kicking around there are some fairly good voices and right at the top there are some extremely lucky, savvy or clever voices with about 20 grams more talent. If anyone believes that paying $300, $3,000 or having 3 agents in every city is going to change that, they're just daft or deluded.
