Couldn't resist posting this one. Audition through Voices.com says:

"Looking for a voice similar to Frank Frederick voice on Monster Energy supercross introductions."

My question is: "Why not hire Frank Frederick" How hard's that!

I got two of those from V123 today- one wanted a soundalike from another ad, and one wanted a soundalike for Mark Harmon.

One had a budget of $30 and the other was "To be determined". Heh.

Not sure if you've been here long enough to know this, Corey, but what's funny about this, is that Frank Fredrick is one of our beloved VO-BB family members.

Thanks Jeffery,

Interesting thing is I am on Voices.com. If you have a chance drop them a line and let them know I will work for pay... My guess it is a buddy of mine looking to contact me, or not.

Heh, I didn't make the connection immediately, but it makes sense. I've even talked with Frank on the phone, so I should have. Embarrassed

I just thought it was interesting that there's so much of the "we want a soundalike" stuff going on these days, it seems to be a pattern.

Todd, you don't want to be me... Now, I on the other hand have been working on my Todd, Jeffery, Corey and Brian sound alike-ness(?).

How am I doing?

I had a similar thing a few months ago with Voices.com. The audition said "we really like the VO on this video" (with a link).

I clicked on the link. It was me.

Fortunately, I got the job!

And even if you DIDN'T get the job, what a nice compliment to have them publicly say "we really like the v/o", eh?

Absolutely, Scott. Although if I hadn't, it would have been a bit like coming second in my own lookalike competition... Wink

If you care, on Sunday May 8th on CBS or Speed Channel I will return with the "CBS Sports Spectacular Monster Energy AMA Supercross Year in Review, an FIM World Championship". Check your local listings. (Say that 3 times fast without taking a breath... LOL)

That's all fine and good Di - but is Frank working on his Diane and Connie voices? We'd better watch out!
