Any of you guys ever used one of these in your travel VO rigs?
I'm going on the road tomorrow and was thinking about picking one up today.
Reviews would be appreciated! _________________ http://toddvoice.com/ |

Hi Toddl
Rhe general consensus around here, is you might be better o spending a few extra bucks for the Centrance mic-port pro..that's not to say the icicle isn't a bad unit though... |

As a studio device I'm not crazy about the M . But as an all in one travel device, you can't do much better. Well, you could, but that would require more money. _________________ The Blog:

Acoustics are counter-intuitive. If one thing is certain about acoustics, it is that if anything seems obvious it is probably wrong. |

Thanks for the feedback guys.
I'm in a time crunch with pre-trip errands, so I just bought a Blue Icicle. I must say, it sounds better than I expected.
It doesn't push hard enough for an RE 20 mic, but sounds really nice with the MXL Harlan Hogan VO 1A.
I'll definitely be spending more upgrading my travel rig soon, but this definitely works for this week.
Thanks again! _________________ http://toddvoice.com/ |

I've heard shoot-outs and it sounds good as the M . It doesn't have a headphone monitor jack, so that's a deal-breaker for me. _________________ If it sounds good, it is good.
