The roads are a mess. This pic is just a couple of miles from Camp Cooper.
Thank God the barn and house are WAY high above the water. More than 100 feet, so we're fine AND our basement is dry.
We've got a fire going in the woodstove.
Interstate 95 is closed. Zoiks. I can't get to Boston today--and they wanted me to come in. Thank God also for Mission Control.

that looks like the Cross-Bronx Expressway on a regular day.
All jokes aside - I just hope everyone is safe and sound. Water is not something to take lightly - incredible force behind that which many of us take for granted yet need to stay alive.

I've been reading about that. Glad the Camp is faring well through this weather. I can't believe they've even shut down 95. That's pretty serious! We're waiting for word on whether or not we're moving to Bangor soon, but I don't think they got it as badly as you folks down south (or is that "Down East"?). Stay safe! _________________ Greg Littlefield

"Down East" is actually way the hell and gone up the Coast o' Maine. It's the far eastern part that can be reached by going downwind. _________________ DBCooperVO.com |

Hi D -- hope all stays well for you -- was watching the Weather Channel and knew it was your area.
Take care -- glad to hear you're on high ground.
That's quite a command centre -- looks more complex than a 747!
