I just uploaded my first demo to my website. Take a listen if you have time. I'd appreciate any suggestions about my website too. Thanks. http://voiceover-solutions.com/ |

Demo first: I like your last three reads much more than your first two...at least they should be at the front of the demo, pretty much in order, 3,4,5 and then the others. They sound much more like the "real" you, and that's what's selling more these days. The music sounds quite a bit "cleaner" than your voice does which makes your voice a bit muddy or weak in comparison. Maybe whoever engineered this (or another engineer?) could improve the EQ and balance between the two?
The website is extremely simple, which all in all is OK, but I'd make your name at least as big if not bigger than Vocal Solutions. Your name should be your brand. Vocal solutions can be a slogan or a marketing statement, but there are so many people and companies out there with similar titles, you could disappear into the mush. You've got a unique name. Go with it.
Study dozens/hundreds of other VO sites and see if you can't pick up some design ideas. Pretend your a producer in a bit of a hurry trying to find the right voice.

Thanks for the suggestions Bruce. I've incorporated your ideas into my web site and it looks a whole lot better. Take a look when you can. Still need to get with my coach about tweaking my demo. |

Kirk... You may want to delete the links to Voice123 and Bodalgo. Your website should showcase your talent, not direct clients to places where other choices can be made. _________________ "Bailey"

I agree with Bruce that your voice is burried in the mix. It is hard to hear you. It needs to be remixed or redone. _________________ Gregory Best
