Has anyone tried to use a Sennheiser MKH416 with a symetrix 528 E?
Thats the processor I've had forever and I really didn't want to get rid of it if it still works...? Holla back if you've tried this combination before.

Works great as long as the Phantom Power button functions properly once it is engaged. _________________ Genus |

A co worker at CBS is using the same combo, and says he likes it, but it will pick up a lot of room noise if you're not careful.. |

yes, using the combo now....well, back and forth with another combo, which is the 416 and a Grace. The Grace honestly doesn't sound that much better than the 528. The 416/528e combo certainly sounds good enough to be "pro."
On a side note, surprised anyone would have an issue with room noise with the Symetrix, as the downward expansion section is wonderful for eliminating that. |
