Didn't get one ... shot video of one.

Amazing!!! I was 18 inches from this guys heart when they put him on bypass and it just deflated like air out of a birthday balloon! I've done some crazy stuff in my life ... but holding a 7 pound camera over an open chest cavity is now at the top of my list.

I'll have some non-gross video to post soon.

I got to watch my Dad take out part of a lung, did the same thing, deflated it right before my eyes. The interesting thing was they filled the chest cavity with water (then sucked it all out) to make sure there were no air leaks before they closed the guy up. Just like they do with tires when they put new ones on.

Can't wait to see the gross and non gross videos!

junior mints were discussed ... they are roundly thought of as refreshing and tasty - but generally frowned upon in the sterile environment.
