Greetings from New Orleans, LA! I’m Roy Bunales and I’m new here . . . again. I believe the last time I was here, was shortly after I signed up and just before Katrina hit us in 2005 . I’ve been a working voice talent since 1997. In 2001, I started working PT at my local radio station just to learn the business side of broadcasting, ad agencies, & creative . (I figured it would enhance my voice over career.)
Over the years, I have developed my own loyal client base and it feels good to NOT start every month from zero dollars. This business has been very good to me. After 10 years in radio, it’s time for me to leave to go full time vo this year.
Anyhoo, I’d just like to introduce myself, continue learning from the talent on this board, and maybe share some of my experiences from the trenches to help up & coming talent. I look forward to making new friends and rekindle old friends. Thanks for having me here and especially a big thank you to Deirdre for re-instating my account. _________________ Sincerely,
Roy Bunales

And hello from a former New Orleanian. I went to De La Salle h.s. on St. Charles Avenue and then to UNO.
Started my radio career there at WWNO-FM, then worked at what was then WEZB-FM in the '70's, then on to the now-defunct, I believe, WWIW-AM (Big Band Swing music) where I had a Saturday night show for 5 years. For a while the station was located inside the Superdome, which was pretty darned cool!
Hope the big Sleazy is coming back from Katrina, and we look forward to learning more about you, and hearing some of your stuff! _________________ Scott R. Pollak

Hey Roy:
Since you're reinstated and not new you don't have to pay the full initiation fee - but you do have to pony up half. Your choice - cake or chocolate.
oh, and if it's cake - make that chocolate
Welcome Roy - welcome back |
