Helpl!!
I've just gotten a job that requires voicing over 4,000 individual first names. Problem is, many of them are ethnic - I'm trying to find a resource on line that will help with name pronunciation- ALL names. Any ideas? I just see a retake hell looming before me. _________________ Moe Egan

Thanks Jeff, but forvo is kind of lacking in proper nouns
I'm gonna ask client if he's got a guy who could sit in with me for the tough names. His script, he should help, yes? Or is a VO expected to dig up the pronunciation? _________________ Moe Egan

I thought of something else- FWIW- baby name dictionaries with pronunciations.
Found this one. http://babynamewizard.com/ I'm batting about 300 right now...but better than zero. _________________ Moe Egan

I wish they were high profile. It's just a list of almost every possible first name someone in the US could have. _________________ Moe Egan

I've used The Name Engine in the past for corporate voicemail gigs....
Good with ethnic pronunciations, but organized by ethnicity, which isn't always apparent at first glance....

Moe, try this one:
http://www.hearnames.com/
I haven't played with it much, so no recommendations, but like forvo and howjsay, there are actual people speaking actual names for you.
Good luck! _________________ Dangerous.
