I know I've been absent around here for a while as the dust has been settling after our move to Portland. It's been a month now and things are relatively organized enough that I was determined I was going to make it out to the Vox on the Rocks meeting tonight.
Well I did and I'm so glad!
I got to meet a whole bunch of nice folks including our own Eddie Eagle, Dan Nachtrab, Bruce Miles and Rick Riley. Got to have some nice chats, as well as receive some words of wisdom from someone who doesn't drink coffee (but does drink beer). Some well-appreciated words, I should add.
Anyway, I'm happy to finally be here and looking forward to gathering some momentum again as things continue to get settled. I have a date to pick things back up again with Nancy W next week, so that should help. In general I have a good feeling about Portland and me - which makes me happy. _________________ jen@jengosnell.com

Hi Jen, I'm sure it was alot of fun. I had the pleasure of meeting Bruce Miles over a drink and meal when I was on a trip to Scottsdale Arizona a couple years ago. That guy is just COOOOL! lol _________________ TG2

So nice Jen. It's got to be really cool to have a community of VO geeks to hang with. I do mean that in the best possible way.
Really looking forward to Faffcon! _________________ Wicked huge.....in India.

Well now that the baby's quiet... for a while, let's hope -
Thanks, Bob. I have not exactly been a frequent mover and so far, I don't relish it! But I am having fun putting some design choices in place in the new house.
Hi, Tom! I arrived late and didn't get to chat with Bruce as much as the others, but there will be a next time. (That is not a threat, Bruce... )
Thanks, Eddie - it was fun, and now the next meeting won't seem right without you.
Hi, Corey! I miss you guys. Still going to spy on the PSVAC and if I ever get a chance to dive-bomb a meeting up there again, I will take it. Meanwhile it was a miracle I could sneak away from 2 children for 75 minutes of adult conversation.
Ya know Dan, it seemed like between Kevin and Hannah we had about 15 pictures taken of us so I hope that at least one of them is decent!
Chuck, you're right it's nice to hang with VO nerds - I think it's especially good for a relatively junior-level geek such as myself. I have had FaffCon envy for a while now. I'm looking forward to whenever things align correctly that I can participate in a future one. I'm sure you'll have a great time!
And as things would have it, after I spent last evening being jazzed up about all things VO, today was full of domesticity. But you all were certainly in my brain as I ironed the new curtains and assembled the patio furniture... _________________ jen@jengosnell.com
