Hello gang.

Let's all take a few moments to remember those that have given the ultimate sacrifice in service to their country. Let's also not forget to honor those that have served that are still here. To each and every one of you, whether you served or not, I say Bravo Zulu. Have a safe and happy Memorial Day.

Absolutely...thanks to each and every vet... here on the board and across the country and the world. We couldn't have the opportunities and freedoms we enjoy without your service.

As for me... well, I tried to join during Viet Nam but never in a million years would have guessed I was 4-F health wise. Quite a shock to a big ole farm boy that was tossing 120 pound bales of hay over his head all day long every summer. Anyway, they sent me home to die of lung cancer...but so far so good.

Still on duty...11 years and counting in the Army (currently in the Army National Guard). Thanks for the kind words. I'm still trying to wring the sweat out of my dress blues from today's ceremony at Jefferson Barracks...but proud that I had the chance to be there. Eternal thanks to all of you that have served both in and out of uniform.

I'm glad to say I still have my Dad around-- he served in the Korean war.
I'm glad I get to thank him on Veterans' Day.

Both my grandfather and grandmother served in WWI.

Thank You All.

My dad's 91 now....served in the European theatre in WWII. He got drafted before he was even naturalized as a citizen. Bless 'em all for answering their call to duty whether it was in their plan or not!
