DON'T!
at a RARE outside session, i happened to be in a booth with a young lady today what nearly kilt me! after only 15 minutes there was little to no oxygen in the cramped space ... only the sickly-sweet stench of a 3rd world prostitute. i can still taste it! and, no, not in a "good" way.
also - difficulty explaining to DW what EXACTLY i was auditioning for. _________________ "i know philip banks": todd ellis

I can only imagine!
General perfume/cologne tip:
Don't spray it directly on you, spray a cloud and walk through it. Men, remember to sway your hips, it needs to be sassy. That way, people don't gag when you stand within three feet of them.
This does not help if you're going into a crammed booth, just make sure you don't smell |

A few months ago I was in a training session with another guy.
We were both in the booth and he must have been trying to cover up his cigarette smoke odor with cologne.
UHG!!!!! It didn't work and the combination was sickening. |

Most of those I've witnessed wearing too much stinky stuff apparently don't know the whole idea is to *attract* someone. Putting too much on has the complete opposite effect. When people can smell you coming, and can still smell you after you've left, you've overdone it. A lot. I've been in restaurants and couldn't smell the meal that was just placed on the table in front of me because it was overpowered by the Agent Orange worn by someone sitting fifteen feet away.
Put on HALF of what you think is the right amount. Or don't put any on at all.

Nothing smells better in close quarters than the fresh clean smell of recently used soap - with nothing else to clutter it up. _________________ Jody Silvers

At a radio station where I used to occasionally fill in, the Production Director's wife had a medical condition that caused her to be hyper-sensitive to perfumes & colognes. Even the minute traces that remained on his clothing from day to day encounters with "aromatically enhanced" co-workers caused his wife to become ill. So, in deference to him, it became company policy that nobody wear perfume or cologne to the office.
Now, even years after the guy left the station, the non-use of these products has become the norm. And the place smalls much better for it. _________________ Lee Gordon, O.A.V.

jim - you're welcome!
lee - back in my publishing days i had to fire a temp because her supervisor was allergic to her scent. the supervisor's throat closed up, couldn't breathe, paramedics were called, the whole deal!
from that day forward i stopped wearing ANY kind or amount of cologne in a business situation. _________________ "i know philip banks": todd ellis
