V123 has implemented a pop-up "helper" on the web site. I kept closing it, and it kept coming back. I got annoyed with it.
"Hi, why have you come to Voice123 today?"
"To check on some posted jobs. I DO NOT WANT A STUPID ANNOYING POP-UP THAT SERVES NO PURPOSE... EXCEPT AS A PERFECT IRRITANT. If I'm a signed-in user, I know what I'm doing, I don't need any automated help ... Gah! You're worse than Microsoft's Clippie."
I feel better now.

3 weeks ago - 13" of snow --- this week flash flood. 5" of rain in a little over 24 hours. with the ground already saturated from the snow my external systems gave in and i had 2" of water in my finished basement saturday morning. worked 10 hours saturday sucking & pumping - removing carpet pad & drying out. 3 dehumidifiers + 6 fans + fireplace running full blast today. so it's - turn everything off (except the fire) - record --- turn everything back on.
good news - no damage to any studio stuff. EXCEPT one of my usb cards has stopped working --- just one --- the other is fine. i'm going to wait it out a couple of days & see what happens.

One month later, my children still delight in announcing to me daily, "Grover's here!!" at which point one of us goes over to the door, opens it, and lets him in. Then I say, "Good morning, Grover! Nice to see you today, buddy!" and I-as-Grover reply, "Good morning, everybody! It is so exciting to be visiting you today!" and then Grover fields the children's questions, shares their breakfast, or whatever seems appropriate.
It's gotten to be a pretty cute little game. I'll be kind of sad whenever they eventually lose interest.
