Point well made J.S. A quick, earnest apology saved you both a lot of grief.
A cardinal rule in the world of public relations is when caught doing something wrong, confess and apologize for your mistakes quickly...something politicians and large companies never seem to learn. It's so much easier to clean up that first mess than to clean up that mess plus weeks of denial.

Great post J.S. I try to always laugh and admit my mistakes. I feel sorry for the people who can also get so worked up over the stupidest things (like the driver in your story). People are so uptight lately. I applaud you for handling that situation so well . _________________ http://jordanreynolds.com |

Thanks for the nice comments.
Curiously, my stats on my site show that around 32 people got to the blog post on my site. (Presumably read it as well). I noticed that not accounting for returnees who placed comments here, 80+ people have clicked on this thread
I am wondering if perhaps some people didn't realize clicking on the top line would get them to the blog or what migh account for the low conversion. Or is it low conversion? Threads that link to my blog on other sites often bring in 85+% conversion from those who click on the thread.
Just curious. _________________ j.s. gilbert

The post count here goes up on every visit so it includes people who have come back to see what others have said, so original viewers could actually be as low as 40 or so now that the count is at 120. If you're getting 32 hits out of 40 original visits, that's pretty spectacular. Plus it's the holidays. Who knows what sugar plums dance in the heads of our usual visitors?
