I have lurked far to long and feel I must try to share the occasional post or insight. I was particularly moved to come aboard by the Philip post to "2012".
If I may...the obligatory few things about me. I am a 30 year Radio/TV writer and Announcer vet. I still do some Radio/TV writing/stories and commercials but I am trying to break myself. At one point I was Nationally Syndicated.
I built a custom studio and I frequently came here for advice. I live with a lovely lady and two dogs in a mecca for Voiceoverists - Southwest Florida. Home to Randy Thomas, Chris Corley, Caryn Clark, and others.
Now that that's out of the way, I want to let you know how much I have enjoyed reading and learning from your postings. Deirdre has built an amazing site. And as you know the Voice Over community has to be the most helpful I have seen. Why is that? It's everybit as competitive as the Radio/TV industry but in Radio people hope your ratings fail and your dog develops a rare form of canine leukemia.
