Okay, we've had a thread going on elsewhere about not talking TOO much about projects you land and so on, so let me know if I become obnoxious here, but I AM quite thrilled.
After struggling last year to really get going in the audiobook narration field, it's really beginning to take off. I had my 4th narration go 'live' Friday, and Jeffrey Kafer is editing what will be my 5th book, soon to be on audible.com.
Today I landed my 6th however, when I auditioned for a mystery/spy thriller. The author immediately wrote back saying that it looked like that particular book was going to be done by the fellow who did his previous book, but would I be interested in auditioning for another of his books, as he really liked my voice. So of course I did, and within minutes got this message, along with his offer:
"You nailed it. And don't take that lightly.... I listened to 20+ auditions! I sent you an offer through the ACX web page.
Thanks!"
Great way to start a Monday!
