With the ongoing drama regarding SOPA/PIPA, to the shutdown of MegaUpload and the subsequent shockwaves that have caused massive changes to the TOS's of Fileserve, Filesonic (http://mashable.com/2012/01/23/filesonic-halts-sharing/) and Upload.to, I've been giving some thought about how dependable SoundCloud will be going forward.
There are quite a lot of people uploading and sharing copyrighted materials on SoundClound. As such, I'm going to stay away from them as a source for my website audio and stick with a self-hosted player. I mention it because I know some of you use SC for your demos. |

The whole "cloud" concept makes me nervous. I don't want m,y data on someone elses server. Even backups. Guess I'm old fashioned. _________________ Gregory Best
