I received this in my inbox today after answering a call for auditions on a very popular broadcasting industry site:
"Hello Jeff,
Thank you for submitting an application to record with us, you have a nice sound but unfortunately your rate exceeds are typical budget of $30 per completed minute.
Thanks again and good luck with your voice over business."
I've mowed lawns for more..big lawns...oh well, not the project for me I guess. _________________ Jeff Augustine

I'd work for $30 pfm. In a heartbeat.
Edit: I suppose it depends on the length. If it's only a minute, then no. But long-form? sure thing. _________________ Jeff

Take an 8-hour audio book, and that's nearly 15K. I'd do it! |

I use to get $500.00 to $1,000.00 pfm but that was video. Now everybody has a camera and editing software. The only ones making money are the Equipment and Software compaines _________________ Esse quam videri "To be rather than to seem"
