Do you mean the tone burst countdown that comes before a video? _________________ Wicked huge.....in India.

If you know what frequency, duration and gap they should be, it's probably not hard to generate one. _________________ Corey "Vox Man" Snow

I taught production sound recording for film and video. I would be glad to help, but need to know what you want to use the beeps for.
For ADR (additional dialogue recording) it’s one thing. For sync of audio and video it’s another thing, most often called a 2 pop.
For a slate at the head of a video/film it yet another, 8 seconds long divided into 1 second increments each with a 800hz tone of a bit over one frame long for the first 7 seconds. On the 8th frame a 1,000 Hz tone ending with 2 seconds of black just before first picture and/or sound. The last audio tone being the 2 pop. _________________ Esse quam videri "To be rather than to seem"

Like the ones used for dubbing and promos and trailers, mostly.
But the other reason I wanted it for is cux I am doing a play next month with a lot of lines, and I have an idea to use it on a track to help me learn them.. |

Ok now that I know your actual use here is what you should do. I would think you have an audio editor to use.
The beeps you want are much like a musical group doing a count off, they allow you to set up a rhythm/tempo that leads you in to the video clip.
Set up a time line with silence for 3 seconds. At the head of the time line insert a sine wave tone (1k) for .25 sec. leave .75 sec. of silence then insert another .25 sec. then .75 sec. another .25sec and lastly .75sec. Your video will start just after the 3 sec mark.
.25----------.25----------.25----------Start
This should do the trick, if it seems to long just trim out the same amount of silence after each tone. _________________ Esse quam videri "To be rather than to seem"
