It's rare when the VO is a major part of ads offered in Ad Forum's weekly best picks, but these sure seemed to qualify as worthy. They're for Axe body stinkum, so yes they're a titch sexist.

Nick Offerman of the show Parks and Recreation is the voice, and I think he does a top flight job for the project. At the bottom of the page you'll see links to other ads in this series. The "Brainy Girl" ad was particularly enjoyable for this theater nut. Also at the bottom of each ad are the credits from the agency listing all 30 or so people responsible for creating the ad, EXCEPT the VO. No mention. Hrrumph. I had to hunt for his name. Enjoy:

Bruce

I started out as a shooter (16mm/35mm) & stills. I love looking at great images. Even better seeing them with great sound. Thanks

Bruce, thanks - I laughed out loud at that ad!

May be a bit of a threadjack here - but I'm curious which websites you use to keep up on current TV ads, especially those with VO. Sounded like Ad Forum might not be it, though there certainly are a lot of ads there. (And they kept threatening to cut me off after some undisclosed number of ad views, unless I paid.) As someone without cable and probably not going to get it anytime soon, I need to seek out alternative ways to view TV ad content.

If there's an ad site that focuses more on the voiceover side of things I'd love to hear, 'cause I haven't found it yet. I know there's Adweek, and I've seen funny-commercials, but is there something better?

Thanks for any suggestions of your fave sites.

AdForum is a good site for current TV spots although not many feature VO. If you sign up for their "newsletter" you'll get 5 featured spots each week and from there there are links to several others that are free to see.

I rely on my standard VO sources and wandering eye (ear) to find stuff of interest. I'll try and post a bit more when I think it's extra special.
