I like doing my radio program and hope to someday get it into syndication.
I like doing media production, yet I have a strong desire to do something new.
I will open a distillery, a legal one that is. The family has made whisky for so long they forgot when they started. Before the revolutionary war they made it legally. In recent history they made it by the light of the moon. Its kind of like being the first child going to college, I will be the first distiller in the family with a license .
The good thing is it has controls so low ballers (illegal no tax paid) will go to jail. Lots more folks buy and drink whisky than buy and use VO so the market is steady.
Most of the work is done just need to pay the fee for the license. _________________ Esse quam videri "To be rather than to seem"

Do they still have any dry counties left in NC? _________________ "Bailey"

I believe that there are several dry counties in NC. But NC law on distillation trumps dry. Lynchburg TN the home of Jack Daniels is in a dry county.
Jesse Gamble was the master distiller for Jack Daniels from 1964 – 1966
Now then Wilkes County is not dry and that is where I intend to set up shop on land that I own that has been in my family for 100 yrs. Wilkes is also where Lowe’s Hardware was founded. Where Tom Dooley (spelled Dula), that the Kingston Trio sang about was from. Roger Gambill of Wilkes later became a member of that trio.
I have a lot of big shoes to fill. _________________ Esse quam videri "To be rather than to seem"

From what I read in the recent inventory of skills we saw here recently, I know this place is full of talented folks. All here have a rich heritage.
It’s an honor to be among you folks. _________________ Esse quam videri "To be rather than to seem"

Foster Brooks, a great actor.
As for me I haven't been intoxicate in 30 + years, I hardly drink beer, wine or whisky. I grew up in Winston-Salem and don't smoke.
I own stock in Krispy Kreme Donuts and don't eat them very much. But put a bottle of Texas Pete (Hot Sauce made in Winston-Salem) in front of me and I go to town. Love the heat. _________________ Esse quam videri "To be rather than to seem"
