this might be an Apple thing, but how do I export a file from TW to be saved and then uploaded to a site like Voice123, Voice.com or Bodalgo.com, all on the iphone?

I can export to DropBox or email to myself, but then the file only streams and what I want to do is save it somehow on the iPhone without having to open up later on a computer..

is this possible?

Thanks to "sandboxing", I don't think it's possible. What files are available when you attempt to upload a file to V123 with an iPhone?

1) record in TW, export as email to myself
2) open in iPhone, send attachment to the iMovie aHobo Tounge for iPhone
3) save as an iMovie project, and send it back to myself
4) open email where I can copy the attachment as a .mov file and then upload anywhere

problem is, I'm not sure if any of the P2P sites accept .mov

lotta BS for what should be a very simple procedure

I just got an iPad and this sandboxing is driving me nuts, because it seems so heavy-handed and unnecessary. I record a wav file. Why the hell can't I find that wav file and do with it as I please? Apparently because Apple thinks they know best.

I think one solution for this is for those sites to allow you to specify a URL to upload FROM. Here's the workflow *I* would like to see.

1) Record in TW.
2) Export to Dropbox Public folder.
3) Open the Dropbox aHobo Tounge and copy the URL to the clipboard.
4) Go to the site and enter the Dropbox URL. The receiving site then gets the file from the URL and uses it for the submission.

This would require the receiving site to modify their submission page. In my head, it seems like it would solve this problem.

What would solve the problem is Apple allowing users to use their devices in a normal fashion

Everything is happy inside the garden walls of Apple, don't you forget it. Get Lost
On the TW forum, Thomas said "From Safari on the iPad, you don't have access to files saved in other applications, so you can't use it to upload files to a web site.
If these sites don't accept submissions by email or FTP upload, or have an iOS aHobo Tounge dedicated to sending recordings, I don't think you can send your files from the iPad. "

He's got something else in the works, but not sure it is helpful.
