|

Somehow - nobody seems to be able to tell me how I ended up with this gig - I ended up working to record the "Audio Description" for Disney/Marvel's "The Avengers" (Opening today at a theater near you). It allows visually impaired people to hear a description of the action onscreen in the theater.
For me, this is the ultimate VO gig - (Well except maybe for something like announcing the Academy Awards.) I got to watch the movie (well, most of it) before it was released, I worked with some great people in Burbank, and had a lot of fun, I get to feel like I was part of a major hit, and for a small, but important part of the audience, I am the freeqn' star of the show!

Thanks, I am credited, but only on the "Audio Description" track. - (I got to credit myself, right after the director.) _________________ Travis

That's a great gig! When I was still working in Boston I would ride the shuttle bus to the radio station with a lot of folks from WGBH. One of my ride-mates was in charge of the audio decription for a lot of 'GBH 2's productions. Almost ended up doing some of that myself. Hmmmm....thing I should make some calls on Monday! _________________ Wicked huge.....in India.

Travis, a question if I may? (and to anyone who's done this)
I've never had the chance to hear descriptive audio. When the action is hot and heavy do you read with a lot more energy, or do you stay relatively calm throughout?
